Memito
Little ghost of fur and fearlessness, you prowled through rooms like a wild thing tamed only by your own bright will. Memito, white as winter's first light, bold as any hound— you climbed what shouldn't be climbed, leapt where wisdom said to pause. Laughter followed you like a wake follows boats, inevitable, abundant. Your paws left no prints but left everything changed: the air softer where you'd played, the silence deeper now you've gone. What you were— part kitten, part comedian, part small lion— cannot be replaced, only remembered in the glow you left behind.
Memito's story
Memito was the most adorable white kitten you could ever meet, and from the very first day it was clear he had gotten the memo wrong about what a cat was supposed to be. He acted like a little dog — following his people from room to room, running to greet the door, tumbling belly-up for stomach rubs, and sleeping curled against a shoulder as if he had chosen that spot the moment he was born.
He was curious about absolutely everything. A rustling paper bag, a shifting shadow, the sound of a drawer opening three rooms away — all of it demanded his immediate, wide-eyed investigation. He was full of energy in that flickering, kitten-electric way, one moment fast asleep and the next launching himself sideways into the air just for the pure joy of doing it.
Memito was daring, too. He would perch on the edge of things a sensible cat would avoid, size up a leap that seemed impossible, and then take it anyway — often landing perfectly, sometimes not, but never seeming embarrassed either way. He met the world head-first, with the confidence of a creature who had decided very early that he was going to enjoy every single minute of being alive.
And he was funny. Impossibly, endlessly funny. The kind of funny that made a whole room stop what they were doing to watch him. He would attack his own tail with the seriousness of a warrior in battle, then look up as if to say, "Did you see that?" He turned ordinary afternoons into small, private comedies, and the people who loved him laughed more with him around than they knew was possible.
White as the moonlight he seemed made from, brave as any little dog, and gentle as only the softest hearts can be — Memito taught everyone who knew him that love does not care what shape or species it arrives in. It simply arrives, and it stays.
Sweet Memito, curious little explorer, sunlit shadow, moonlit mischief-maker — you will always be loved. Run and pounce and dare, wherever it is that brave kittens go.
